Dressori Japanese Kimono
Kimono jacket from Dressori's gorgeous "Japanese Ornament" collection.
This particular jacket is done in a relatively new fabric for Dressori called "square silk" which is a silk rayon fabric with embossed squares. The base of the print is black with multi-colored (you guessed it) Japanese Ornaments. The collar is dotted and framed in blue.
It is an open style with no closures and has (being as it is a kimono jacket!) a kimono sleeve. Side slits.
Dressori calls this particular style their "Komon Kimono"and it has turned into one of their best selling styles and appears in many of their various print collections now.
I think it is so successful because it really is a classic Japanese kimono with its boxy cut that simply drapes over the body. No need to worry if the shoulders are too wide or the sleeves too narrow, etc.
NOTES ON FIT
As with many true kimono jacket styles this has a boxy cut with little to no difference between the bust, waist and hip.
What that means for you is that while the bust is wider compared to other Dressori styles the waist and hip is more in line with traditional sizing.
Many of you can size down if you prefer but it isn't necessary.
